On Sunday, January 18, the Municipality of Ayia Napa offered a tour of the area's sights and a meal at a restaurant to the Liopetri Local Elderly Welfare Association, for the elderly of the Liopetri Municipal District.

During the meal, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, and the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Liopetri, Mr. Markos Koumis, stopped by the restaurant to greet the elderly. In their brief greetings, they congratulated the Association and especially the President, Mr. Michalis Trifyllis, for the initiatives and the important work being done for the well-being of the elderly.

Mayor Mr. Christos Zannetou also informed that the Municipality of Ayia Napa is now a single organization and that, despite the difficulties that arose from the Local Government Reform, dedicated efforts are being made by everyone to address the problems and provide the best possible service to the citizens.

He also assured that there is unity, good cooperation and determination among all the Deputy Mayors and the Members of the Municipal Council, emphasizing that the Municipal Authority will continue to move forward with the goal of the sustainable development of the Municipality and the interests of all citizens. At the same time, he wished everyone a good and creative year with health and all the best.

The Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Liopetri, Mr. Markos Koumis, stated that we owe a lot to the elderly and that it is our obligation to repay them, wishing them a happy and healthy new year.
For his part, the President of the Local Association for the Welfare of the Elderly of Liopetri, Mr. Michalis Trifyllis, warmly thanked the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor for the offer of the excursion and the meal, noting that such actions demonstrate in practice the interest and support of the Municipal Authority towards both the Association and the elderly.
