Thousands of local and foreign visitors flooded Makariou Avenue and the Central Square "Georgos Seferis" on Saturday (October 11) evening, enjoying unique moments during the fourth day of the 20th Ayia Napa Medieval Festival, which culminated with the spectacular Medieval Parade and the enchanting concert of the internationally renowned tenor Marios Frangoulis.

The city was flooded with dances, music, color and events, within a setting that transported spectators centuries back, to the era of knights and legends, offering a spectacular spectacle that combined culture, history and contemporary artistic creation.

In his brief greeting, the Deputy Minister of Tourism praised the high level of this year's organization, emphasizing that "this year's Medieval Festival is a significantly upgraded and renewed organization, which not only promotes culture, but also contributes substantially to the extension of the tourist season and the further promotion of Cyprus as a quality and cultural destination."

For his part, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, expressed his satisfaction for the great success and the massive participation of the public, stating that
“through a clearly upgraded organization and a creative approach, the Festival managed to transform Ayia Napa into an authentic medieval setting, offering unforgettable experiences and intense emotions to visitors.” “This year’s success,” he added, “lays the foundation for even more dynamic events in the future, strengthening the cultural character and unique identity of Ayia Napa.”

"Ayia Napa," he noted, "is not only a top tourist destination; it is a model city, a Municipality that builds tomorrow with respect for the past and faith in the values of the future. Finally, he thanked everyone who supported this beautiful event with their presence."

After the parade, Marios Frangoulis' concert, together with Dimitra Selemidou and Konstantinos Giourtsidis, captivated the audience, providing an evening full of emotion and musical feast, which sealed the success of the fourth day of the Festival.

The 20th Ayia Napa Medieval Festival concludes tonight, Sunday, October 12, with the closing ceremony, where all the artistic groups that participated in this year's event will be presented on the Main Stage, through an impressive program full of music, dance and images from another era, which promises a finale worthy of the great success of the institution.
