As part of the first cycle of inspections of Blue Flag beaches, an inspection of the beaches of the Municipality of Ayia Napa was carried out today, Thursday, July 03, 2025, by Mr. Charalambos Antoniou, National Operator of the CYMEPA "Blue Flag" Program. Mr. Antoniou was accompanied by the Manager of Warehouses and Beach Beds/Umbrellas of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, Mr. Tasos Pateras.
The inspection covered all of the Municipality's beaches that bear the Blue Flag distinction, with the aim of assessing compliance with the strict criteria of the international program.
In his statements, Mr. Antoniou described the image of the beaches as excellent, while highlighting the obvious dedication of the Ayia Napa Municipality to the "Blue Flag" institution. He also noted that the necessary preparatory work has been carried out by the Municipality's Beach Department so that the beaches are fully prepared for the summer season.
Ayia Napa continues to be an example to be emulated in the field of coastal environmental management, systematically investing in maintaining high quality standards that ensure safety, cleanliness and service for bathers.
