Seven new "Tourism Ambassadors" were added today, Tuesday, September 09, 2025, to the long list of honored regular visitors to Ayia Napa, confirming once again the timeless relationship of love and devotion that foreign visitors develop with our top tourist destination.
The new Tourism Ambassadors are the British Paul Johnson, with 61 visits, Michael and Vivien Pratt with 30 visits, Brian and Julie Graigs with 22 visits, as well as the Swiss Salome Liliane Aebischer and Brigitte Ursula Aebischer – Burckhardt, with 25 visits each.
The awarding of the commemorative plaques and the emblem of the "Tourism Ambassador" was carried out by the Deputy Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Antonis Christou, on behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou, thus honoring the many years and continuous presence of visitors in the city.
In his greeting, Mr. Christou expressed his warm thanks to the honorees, emphasizing that their frequent and repeated presence in Ayia Napa proves their deep love for the place and its people. “You are the best ambassadors of Ayia Napa in your homelands,” he said, emphasizing that with their proclamation as “Tourism Ambassadors” they are no longer considered ordinary visitors, but honorary citizens and members of the city’s large family.
