The press conference held on Wednesday, April 29 at the Ayia Napa Marina Centre, on the occasion of the organization of the "Boat & Sea Expo" exhibition, which will be held from May 8 to 10 at the Ayia Napa Marina, was attended by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou.
In his greeting, Mr. Zannettou expressed his support for the organization, as well as his vision for a strong marine tourism, noting that the Boat & Sea Expo is an important initiative that enhances the visibility of Ayia Napa as a dynamic marine tourism destination.
He stated that the city has been connected to the sea throughout time, which shapes its identity and economy, while through modern infrastructure, such as the Ayia Napa Marina, and events such as this particular exhibition, extroversion is strengthened and new development prospects are created.
The Boat & Sea Expo, as he pointed out, is not just an exhibition, but a dynamic platform for meeting professionals and businesses in yachting and marine tourism, contributing to the emergence of Ayia Napa and the wider region as a center of blue growth.
At the same time, he made special reference to the Municipality's consistent support for initiatives that strengthen the local economy and upgrade the tourism product, linking tourism with entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development.
He expressed his warm thanks to the organizers of the exhibition, Dacor Advertising and Media Ltd and the CEO Mr. Aristos Aristidou, as well as to the Management of Ayia Napa Marina for their contribution.
He made special mention of the Ayia Napa Marina, which, as he said, "is a landmark project and a vibrant space of extroversion and international visibility, strengthening the region's position as a modern tourist destination."
"A strategic goal," he noted, "remains for Ayia Napa to evolve into a four-season destination, through investments in quality, in thematic forms of tourism, in major events, as well as in culture and sports."
Concluding, he expressed his confidence that the Boat & Sea Expo can be established as an important annual institution, further enhancing the international visibility of Ayia Napa as a leading maritime and tourist destination.
