Foreign visitors staying in Ayia Napa during the winter season, as well as all those interested, will have the opportunity to observe the process of making syrupy traditional sweets, such as purekia and pisiiés, at the workshop that will take place on Friday, March 06, 2026, in the courtyard of the Agrotospitos, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
The action is part of the Winter Program of Traditional Activities and is taking place on the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8), highlighting the important role of women in preserving, continuing and passing on the Cypriot culinary tradition from generation to generation.
The Winter Traditional Activities Program aims to engage visitors who choose Ayia Napa for a long-term stay during the winter months in a creative way, as well as to introduce them to the customs, traditions and folk culture of Cyprus. Through authentic activities, participants have the opportunity to experience the local culture, hospitality and traditional flavors of the place.
