On a night full of magic, color and spectacle, the curtain fell on the 20th Ayia Napa Medieval Festival. The Central Square “Georgos Seferis” was flooded with thousands of spectators who enjoyed an impressive finale, where art, rhythm and light on stage united in a magnificent celebration of culture.


The fourteen artistic groups from abroad presented a rich and multi-thematic program, full of spectacle, movement and imagination. Medieval dances, impressive acrobatics, music and performances with fire and skill composed a magical experience that captivated the audience and drew prolonged applause from the spectators.

In his brief greeting, the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipal District, Mr. Antonis Christou, on behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou and the Members of the Municipal Council, warmly thanked all the contributors and groups that participated, stating that "Ayia Napa experienced for another year days and nights full of light, art and culture.

“The Medieval Festival,” he added, “is not just an event, it is an institution that unites, inspires and highlights the cultural happenings and identity of Ayia Napa.” Mr. Christou also assured that “the Municipality of Ayia Napa will continue with the same passion to support and develop this unique cultural event, offering new experiences and powerful emotions every year.”

He then officially declared the start of the 21st Ayia Napa Medieval Festival, promising that the next event will be "even more special, renewed and impressive."
During the event, the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipal District, Mr. Antonis Christou, awarded all the groups commemorative plaques, as a sign of appreciation for their participation and artistic contribution, in a warm and festive atmosphere.
With this spectacular finale, the 20th Ayia Napa Medieval Festival concluded triumphantly, leaving the best impressions and confirming for yet another year its reputation as one of the leading cultural institutions in Cyprus.
