As part of the strategy to attract new tourist markets, Ayia Napa warmly welcomed 22 tour operators from Moldova, representatives of TOCO, one of the country's largest tourist chains.
The visit was organized on the occasion of the launch of direct charter flights from Moldova to Cyprus, by the ANEX tourism organization, in collaboration with MTS Cyprus, the Director of ANEX Mr. Konstantinos Konxidis, the President of ETAP Famagusta Mr. George Ttofini, the General Director of ETAP Mr. George Kafkalias, the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Christos Zannetou as well as the Deputy Mayors of the Municipal Districts of Ayia Napa, Sotira, Achna, Avgorou and Liopetri.
As part of the hospitality, the tour operators had the opportunity to get to know the area's hotels, the tourist infrastructure and the natural beauty of Ayia Napa up close. Their impression was extremely positive, both for the organization and the level of services provided and for the warm hospitality they received.
The guests were welcomed at a local restaurant by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, who expressed his joy for their presence and his optimism for the strengthening of tourism relations with Moldova. In his greeting, he emphasized the importance of expanding markets and promoting Ayia Napa as a leading destination offering a high tourism product.
