Finnish tourists were declared Ayia Napa Tourism Ambassadors by the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipality, Mr. Antonis Christou, for their 35 visits.
These are Mikko Jorma Kettumaki and Anna-Liisa Mertanen who visited Ayia Napa for holiday purposes 35 times.
In a modest ceremony held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Municipal Hall, the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipal District - Ayia Napa Municipality, Mr. Antonis Christou, presented the couple with a commemorative plaque and the emblem of "Tourism Ambassador".
Mr. Christou expressed, on behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou and the Ayia Napa Municipal Council, his warm thanks for their numerous visits and for the special preference they show for Ayia Napa, while also pointing out to them that the Municipality no longer considers them simply visitors but citizens of Ayia Napa.
