One of the five young Israelis who was released on the case of the gang rape of a young British woman revealed to the media in his homeland that he escaped because of a selfie taken by his girlfriend while he was sleeping next to her.
The young Israeli described the circumstances of his arrest, saying that the police entered his room while he was sleeping and stopped him, wearing handcuffs and without knowing the reason for the arrest.
At the police station, where he was taken, a translator informed him that he was suspected of rape. From the first moment, the young man claimed that he was innocent and referred the police to talk to his girlfriend, with whom he spent the whole night.
His girlfriend had a selfie photo of the couple on her mobile phone with the suspect sleeping next to her and she counted this element to be released.
