The Flags and the commemorative plaques were received by the Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment and by the Commissioner of Environment Mr. Klelia Vassiliou, the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Christos Zannettou.
With this award, the Municipality of Ayia Napa is automatically included in the Network of Green Cities and Communities of Cyprus of the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education (KYKPEE).
The ceremony was also attended by the Municipal Councilor Mrs. Tasoula Tsokki Koumi on behalf of the Municipality and the responsible Officers of the Municipality related to the award.
The Mayor Mr. Christos Zannettou in his statements expressed his satisfaction that another effort of the Municipality is rewarded with such an important award.
