Among the five cities in Cyprus that will host the 5th Festival for the Promotion of Gender Equality, Femme Fest Cyprus, will be Ayia Napa, which on Sunday, April 26, 2026 will be one of the main venues for the festival.
Femme Fest Cyprus returns for its fifth year and this year it takes a significant step, as for the first time in Cyprus a festival will be held simultaneously in five different cities. Specifically, on the same day events will be hosted in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and Ayia Napa.
The simultaneous expansion of the festival to five cities reflects the need to further open the conversation around gender equality, in every neighborhood and community, at a time when women continue to face serious social, economic and political inequalities.
The festival program will include open discussions on contemporary social issues, workshops on empowerment and the dismantling of stereotypes, artistic interventions with music, theater and visual arts, pavilions of organizations and institutions active in the field, as well as the participation of female creators. At the same time, a children's corner will operate with activities adapted to a gender perspective.
Hosting the festival in Ayia Napa strengthens the role of the Municipality as a space for culture, dialogue and social awareness, promoting values such as equality, respect and inclusion.
More information regarding the detailed program and the venues of the events will be announced in the near future.
