Yesterday, Saturday, October 20, at 16:55, the Larnaca KSED received information regarding an injured person after falling into the sea from a height at the location Thalassines Spilies (Palathkia) in the area of Kavo Greko.
As a result, KSED activated the National Plan E-D "NEARCHOS", immediately mobilizing the Fire Service of Famagusta Station, an ambulance of the Ministry of Health and the Port and Naval Police.
A speedboat of the Port and Maritime Police of Paralimni and Ayia Napa Stations, which were patrolling the area, was called to the spot. The injured person was pulled out of the Port Police boat at 17:15 and accompanied by an ambulance nurse was transported to the port of Ayia Napa where he was delivered to the ambulance of the Ministry of Health, in order to be transported to the General Hospital of Famagusta.
