Colors, children's smiles, dancing and music flooded St. George Square in the Ayia Napa Harbor on Sunday, June 1, 2025, during the 31st Children's Festival and the 17th Summer Children's Festival, which was organized with great success by the Ayia Napa Municipality (Ayia Napa Municipal District) to honor Universal Children's Day, which is celebrated every year on June 1.
This year's event attracted a large crowd – children, parents and carers – who filled the square, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. The event was organised in collaboration with the Parents and Guardians Associations of Public and Community Kindergartens as well as the "Antonis Tsokkos" Primary School of Ayia Napa.
The artistic program began with beautiful songs, both Greek and foreign, from the Niki & Christos Karaiskos Music School and continued with amazing dance performances from the classes of the Ayia Napa Open School and the dance schools "Vision Dance Studio", "Taxi Crew", "Paso Libre".
The evening culminated with the impressive performance of "Alice in Wonderland" by the "Evolution Dance School" team. The children enthusiastically participated in numerous creative workshops and activities such as "Love Bells", science experiments, weaving, pottery, baking, face painting, balloon making and photobooth, inflatables, mascots, windmills, musical ornaments and "pumpkins full of imagination", which gave a special color to the entire event.
The Parents' Associations' kiosks offered various delicacies, with the proceeds going to the needs of the Municipality's schools, while all children were offered free ice cream from the Municipality of Ayia Napa and free water from the bottled water representatives Manolis and Andreas Manolis.
The event is part of the environmental actions of the Municipality of Ayia Napa to obtain the Blue Flag for its beaches.
