The Public consultation that took place both in the Municipal District of Ayia Napa - Municipality of Ayia Napa and in the Municipal District of Paralimni - Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia as part of the Festival of Ideas of Ayia Napa 2030 was crowned with success.

The dialogue that developed between the citizens, representatives of the Organized Groups of the DDs of Ayia Napa and Paralimnio - Deryneia and the European Cultural Capital Ayia Napa 2030 Organization was constructive during the public consultation that took place yesterday, Monday, November 25, at the Ayia Napa Cultural Center " Giorgos Seferis" and in the event hall of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia where nice and innovative ideas were heard, several of which will be included in the proposals of Ayia Napa 2030.

Both consultations were attended by the Mayors of Ayia Napa and Paralimni - Deryneia Mr. Christos Zannettou and George Nikolettou and the Deputy Mayors of the Municipalities of Ayia Napa and Paralimni - Deryneia Mr. Antonis Christou and Mr. Kostas Michael, who in their brief greetings expressed their optimism for a positive outcome since as they underlined, great work is being done and a great effort is being made by the "Agia Napa 2030" Organization, so that the proposal it will present is original and innovative.

They also highlighted the benefits that both the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the Famagusta Region will reap more broadly, as well as the prominence that the region will receive in the European space if Ayia Napa succeeds in becoming "European Capital of Culture 2030".

Both the President of the "Agia Napa 2030" Organization and the artistic director Ms. Tasoula Kallenou stated that their goal is the participation of citizens in the processes and ideas related to the creation of the proposal, which has the ultimate goal of promoting Ayia Napa and the entire Famagusta region as a center of culture and innovation.

With the participation of the citizens they added, Ayia Napa 2030 seeks to ensure that the work and initiatives of the Organization reflect the needs and expectations of the local community, promoting a continuous and meaningful dialogue on the future of the region.

"The European Capital of Culture Ayia Napa 2030 Organization continues to strengthen the connection of its cultural mission with the local community, laying the foundations for a new era in the cultural and social development of the region."
