The 48th Voluntary Blood Donation of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, which was held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Ayia Napa Town Hall, was completed with particularly satisfactory results.
56 citizens attended the blood donation drive and 46 of them were able to donate blood, contributing substantially to strengthening the Blood Center's reserves and offering relief and hope to our fellow human beings who are in immediate need.
The blood donation was honored with his presence by the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipal District, Mr. Antonis Christou, who, on behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou and the Municipal Council, warmly thanked all those who responded to the call and offered this priceless gift of life.
In his statements, Mr. Christou emphasized that voluntary blood donation is one of the most essential acts of social solidarity and altruism. At the same time, he assured that the Municipality of Ayia Napa remains committed to supporting such initiatives, which contribute decisively to strengthening social solidarity and enhance the important work of the Famagusta Blood Center of the Ministry of Health.
Finally, he expressed his thanks to all the blood donors, the medical and nursing staff, as well as the volunteers and employees of the Municipality, whose dedication and cooperation ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the 48th blood donation.
