Distinction for Ayia Napa Kindergarten: 3rd Pancyprian Award "Youth and Volunteering"

The 3rd prize was awarded to the Pre-Primary School of the Public / Community Kindergarten of Ayia Napa in the competition of the program "Youth and Volunteering 2018-2019" announced by the Pancyprian Coordinating Council for Volunteering through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth.

It is noteworthy that it is the first Pancyprian Kindergarten that managed in the 14 years that the program is implemented to be awarded.

Universities, Primary, Secondary General and Secondary Technical, Vocational Education and Training as well as Pre-Primary Education of Cyprus took part in the competition.

From the first moment the news was informed, the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Giannis Karousos expressed his special joy and congratulated the Director Mrs. Eva Costa and all the teaching and support staff for the very good work they perform especially in the humanitarian area, where children learn at a very young age to volunteer, something that will help them really care about their fellow human beings.

"I am very proud that the Kindergarten of our city was distinguished for its voluntary work in such an important and prestigious institution and I am sure that this effort will continue and the distinctions will follow one another."

In her statements, the Director Mrs. Eva Costa expressed her heartfelt thanks for the support and help she had from many Institutions in Ayia Napa. Special thanks were expressed to the Mayor Mr. Giannis Karousos and the Municipal Council, to the heads of departments of the Municipality, to the Church of Panagia Ayia Napa, to the International Humanitarian Aid, to the School Ephorate, to the Parents' Association of the Kindergarten, to the Provincial Association the International Sculpture Symposium, to the Executive Secretary of the Movement of Ecologists for the Cooperation of Citizens of the Famagusta District, to the parents of the previous school year and to all the teaching and support staff of the morning and afternoon attendance of the Kindergarten.
