The contract between the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the company PIKA Road Contracting Co. Ltd, for the construction and maintenance of sidewalks in various areas within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, was signed on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Ayia Napa Town Hall.
The contract was signed, on behalf of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, by the Mayor Mr. Christos Zannetou and, on behalf of the contractor company, by the authorized representative Mr. Demosthenis Kappais. The signing was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Sotiras Municipal District Mr. Antonis Koumis and the Deputy Mayor of the Achna Municipal District Mr. Nikos Vasilas.
The total value of the contract amounts to €96.150,00 plus VAT, while the duration of the project is set at twelve months from the date of signing the contract.
The project concerns interventions for the construction of new sidewalks, as well as the maintenance of existing ones, with the aim of improving pedestrian safety, enhancing accessibility and upgrading the daily life of residents and visitors.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, emphasized that the Municipality continues to consistently implement infrastructure projects that meet the needs of the local community and contribute to the functional, aesthetic and safe upgrading of public spaces.
