The dance evening of the "Free Famagusta" Sports Association was successfully held on the evening of Tuesday, May 19, in a banquet hall in the area, under the auspices of the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou.
During the event, veteran football players who honored the jersey of their team and the Cyprus National Team were honored, contributing significantly to the football events of our country.
Specifically, awards were given to Giotis Engomitis, Nikos Panagiotou, Veskos Michailovic, Floros Nikolaou, Takis Davil, Marios Andreou and Dimos Konstantinou, while honorary plaques were awarded to the Municipality of Ayia Napa for its many years of support and to doctor Sergis Sergiou for his timeless and non-profit contribution to the club.
In a greeting delivered on behalf of the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District, Mr. Antonis Christou, emphasized that the "Free Famagusta" Sports Club is an association with a long history and significant contribution to sports and society, which promotes the values of cooperation, discipline and collectivism.
At the same time, it was pointed out that the role of sports clubs is particularly important in modern times, as they offer creative outlets to youth and strengthen the bonds of local society.
The Municipality of Ayia Napa, it was noted, will continue to support every organized effort that promotes sports, culture and social contribution.
Special mention was also made to the Secretary of the Association, Petros Christofis, for his significant contribution to the operation and activities of the association, as well as for his contribution to the organization of the event.
The dance evening was also honored with his presence by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Avgorou, Mr. Panagis Michaelas, who, in his brief greeting, welcomed the attendees and expressed his warm congratulations to the organizers for the beautiful event.
