The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, welcomed on Thursday, September 04, in his office the President and Vice President of the Europa Uomo Cyprus Association, Mr. Andreas Moyseos and Mr. Savvas Iliofotou.
During the meeting, among other things, the Mayor was presented with an official invitation to attend and address the 22nd General Assembly of the European Federation Europa Uomo Europe, which will be held in Ayia Napa on 21–24 May 2026.
The General Assembly, which will be attended by representatives from 32 member organizations of the Confederation based in Antwerp, Belgium, is an important event that will promote Ayia Napa internationally in 32 countries.
In his statements, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, said that “it is an honor for us that Ayia Napa will host such an important European event.” “The 22nd General Assembly of the European Federation Europa Uomo Europe,” he added, “will bring representatives from 32 countries to our city and will highlight our place internationally.”
He also emphasized, "that through such events, Ayia Napa's extroversion is strengthened and its image is promoted as a city that can host important international meetings and conferences."
"As a Municipality, we will support with all our might the organization of the General Assembly and we are confident that the delegates will leave Ayia Napa with the best impressions," concluded Mr. Zannettou.
