The Municipality of Ayia Napa welcomed children from Ukraine
To the fifty-five children from Ukraine, who are currently hosted on our island under the supervision of His Eminence Metropolitan Tamassos Isaiah, the Municipality of Ayia Napa hosted a meal at a restaurant in the area attended by Mayor Christos Zannettos, Ta Mitrospos officials of the Metropolis and the Municipality.
Welcoming the children and their companions, the Mayor of Ayia Napa said that "in these difficult times that you are passing away from your ancestral homes, the horrors you have experienced due to the war situation in your country, with the agony painted on your faces. for what happened to your people is the least that our Municipality could do to give you a little joy and to give you a few carefree moments ".
He also wished that the war would soon end, that they would return to their country, reunite with their families and rebuild their lives.
Mr. Zannettou did not fail to thank the Metropolitan of Tamassos Isaiah for his initiative to host the children in Cyprus for at least fifteen days and for the opportunity he gave to the Municipality to receive them.
