More than 3 thousand runners from 25 different countries participated in the fourth Run for Autism Half Marathon charity race organized yesterday, Sunday 06/04/25 in Ayia Napa.
Volunteers, companies and organized groups ran the half marathon, 10, 5 and 1 kilometer distances, as well as a smaller 500 meter race for autism. Runners ran along Nisi Avenue to Agias Thekla Avenue.
The charity race was organized by the voluntary initiative of the Run for Autism group with the aim of financially supporting the Famagusta Autism Center and the "Smile Project". Its purpose is to promote awareness and acceptance of autism, which is celebrated worldwide on April 2.
It is noted that the one-kilometer charity race was dedicated to the memory of Iakovos Triaros.
It is worth mentioning that the medal for this year's race was designed and crafted by students of the Irene and Eleftheria Lyceum, Deryneia - Sotiras.
