Specifically, the gradual replacement of old waste bins on Nisi Avenue with new, modern bins, which offer improved functionality, greater durability and upgraded aesthetics, has recently begun.
The replacement on Nisi Avenue will continue in the coming days, covering its entire length. At the same time, the expansion of this action to Kryou Nerou Street is already planned within the next year, as part of the overall renewal of cleaning equipment in key areas of the city.
As stated by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, "this action constitutes the first step of a broader strategy for the upgrade of urban equipment in the Ayia Napa Municipal District and confirms the commitment of the Local Authority to a cleaner and more functional public space, worthy of the international reputation of our city."
"Ayia Napa," he added, "is internationally known for its hospitality and natural beauty; that is why we must constantly invest in projects that enhance the quality of life and the everyday life of everyone, residents and visitors. This action is only the first step, as the effort to modernize and improve infrastructure will continue with consistency and vision throughout the territory of the Municipality of Ayia Napa."
