The group of Travel Agents from Poland, which is in the Famagusta District at the invitation of the Famagusta Tourism Board, was welcomed on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the office of the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou.
The aim of the visit was to familiarize the agents with the tourist product of the region and to explore possibilities of cooperation with the rapidly growing Polish market. This initiative is part of the targeted actions of the Famagusta Tourism Board to extend the tourist season and increase visitor numbers during the winter months.
During the meeting, the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou, presented the comparative advantages of Ayia Napa and its Municipal Districts, highlighting the unique experiences offered by the destination, the modern infrastructure, the natural environment, the sights, the landmarks and the high level of hospitality. Particular emphasis was placed on the events and actions organized by the Municipality during the winter period, which enhance tourist activity all year round.
Mr. Zannettou assured that every visitor to Ayia Napa can enjoy a comprehensive and experiential experience throughout the year, underlining the importance of the Polish market as an emerging force for the further tourism development of the region.
