The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetto, met with the French Ambassador Salina Grenet Catalano today, Thursday, November 17, at his office.
During the meeting, there was an extensive discussion and opinions were exchanged on a series of issues that mainly concern the tourism industry, the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and Russia's war in Ukraine on the budget and planning of the Municipality, as well as on the projects that have been launched or which are in progress.
Finally, the ways of developing relations and cooperation between the Municipality of Ayia Napa, the French Embassy and the French Educational Institute in the fields of tourism and culture were discussed through the joint organization of actions/events that will have the ultimate goal of getting to know and highlighting the culture and of the Culture of the two countries as well as the possibility of twinning of Ayia Napa with French cities.
The First Secretary of the French Embassy, Mr. Kilian Vivien, was present at the meeting.
