The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, held a meeting with the staff of the Municipality's beaches, with the aim of better organizing, presenting and operating the beaches, as well as further upgrading the experience of residents and visitors.
During the meeting, the importance of cooperation, professionalism, cleanliness, tidiness and direct service to the public was emphasized, elements that contribute decisively to maintaining the high image of Ayia Napa's beaches.
Special mention was made of the retirement of Mr. Dimitris Pateras, Beach Inspector, with the Mayor expressing warm thanks for his many years of consistent and valuable contribution to the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
This effort is directly linked to the Municipality's continued success in the Blue Flags, but also to the general recognition of Cyprus at a European level for the quality of its bathing waters. According to the European Environment Agency, 100% of Cyprus's 123 bathing areas were assessed as "excellent quality" in 2025.
The Municipality of Ayia Napa continues to consistently work for clean, safe, organized and quality beaches, worthy of the destination's international reputation.
