On the occasion of the official start of the football season and the team's preparation, the established consecration of the Ayia Napa Athletic Club (AOAN) took place on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the modern sports facilities of the Ayia Napa Football School.
The consecration was performed by the Protopresbyter of the Holy Church of Panagia Agia Napa, Father Vasilios Nikolaou, who wished everyone health, strength and success for the new racing year.
The event was held in the presence of the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettos, the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Antonis Christos, the President and Board of Directors of AOAN, the coaching staff, athletes, members and friends of the association.
The Mayor stated that AOAN is one of the most vibrant and active cells of the local community, as well as an ambassador of sports for the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
He praised the excellent work being done at the Football School Academies, emphasizing that the Ayia Napa team is one of the few teams in Cyprus that place particular emphasis on promoting Cypriot footballers.
He emphasized that the Municipality has always been supportive of the Club's efforts and will continue to support it in practice, and wished the players, the technical staff and the administration a good football year, with health and many successes.
