In a modest ceremony held on Monday, May 11 at the Ayia Napa Municipal Hall, the Municipal Secretary, Mr. Fotos Kikillos, awarded honorary distinctions to four loyal friends of the city for their many years of continuous presence in Ayia Napa.
Specifically, the couple Michael and Lynne Waller from the United Kingdom, who have visited Ayia Napa 53 times, were honored, as well as the brothers Mick and Stephen Cole, also from the United Kingdom, for their sixty and 20 visits respectively.
Handing over the commemorative plaques and the emblem of "Tourism Ambassador", Mr. Kikillos expressed his warm thanks to the honorees, emphasizing that their frequent presence in Ayia Napa is proof of their love for the place but also practical advertising abroad for what a unique and remarkable tourist destination it is.
He also emphasized that by declaring them "Tourism Ambassadors", they are no longer considered ordinary visitors, but honorary citizens of Ayia Napa, members of the city's large family.
