In a special ceremony held at the Municipal Hall, the Municipality of Ayia Napa honored four steadfast friends of the city, proclaiming them as "Tourism Ambassadors" for their dedication and long-standing preference for the popular tourist destination.
British visitors Dale and Tracey Ann, as well as the couple Karl and Ingeborg Domonkos from Austria, were honored for their 65th and 45th visits respectively, in recognition of their valuable contribution to promoting and strengthening the tourist identity of Ayia Napa.
On behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou, the award was made by the Municipal Secretary, Mr. Fotos Kikillos, who thanked the honorees for their practical and long-term support, emphasizing that their choice to return to Ayia Napa for a number of years is a special honor for the city.
"This distinction is the minimum recognition of the love they have shown over time for Ayia Napa. From today, they are considered not just visitors but honorary citizens of our city," said Mr. Kikillos.
The initiative is part of the Municipality's actions to strengthen the region's tourism product and reward repeat visitors who contribute to the image of Ayia Napa as a global tourist destination.
