The British David and Willadene Young were honored by the Municipality of Ayia Napa with the emblem of "Tourism Ambassador" and a commemorative plaque for their 40 visits to Ayia Napa.
The honorary distinction of the Municipality was awarded on behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannettos, in a modest ceremony that took place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the reception area of the Municipal Building, by the Cultural Officer of the Municipality of Agia Napa, Mrs. Maria Tofini.
Mrs. Tofini expressed her heartfelt thanks for making so many visits to Ayia Napa and for the indirect but important role they play in the promotion of the tourist product of our region in their homeland and abroad in general, since as she typically mentioned they represent it and they advertise it in the most practical and convincing way.
He also noted that they are no longer considered mere visitors but citizens of Ayia Napa. It is also noted that the ceremony of awarding the honorary distinction of the Municipality coincides with their 43rd wedding anniversary, that is why the Cultural Officer of the Municipality offered them commemorative gifts.
