A man of Bulgarian origin was recovered dead from the sea area of Cape Greco.
According to an announcement, today at 16:05, the JRC activated the National Search and Rescue Plan "NEARCHOS", with the aim of rescuing an individual in the sea area of Aghios Anargyros in Cape Greco.
A speedboat of the Port and Maritime Police, a foot patrol of the Famagusta Public Health Service and an ambulance of the State Health Services Organization (OKYpY) were mobilized to carry out the operation.
The man, of Bulgarian origin, after being picked up by the Port and Maritime Police vessel, was handed over to an ambulance of the Ambulance Service of the State Health Services Organization (OHSO) and then transferred to the Famagusta General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
