British visitors chose Ayia Napa for their holidays 40 times

At a special ceremony held today, Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Ayia Napa Municipal Hall, the Municipality honored British visitors Michael Arthur and Susan Lynne Long, who have chosen Ayia Napa as their holiday destination a total of 40 times, in recognition of their timeless love and dedication to the city.

As part of the ceremony, the Municipality awarded the couple a commemorative plaque and the "Tourism Ambassador" emblem, officially declaring them "Tourism Ambassadors of Ayia Napa", one of the most important honorary distinctions it awards to visitors who, with their long-standing preference and long-term presence, contribute substantially to the promotion and strengthening of the region's tourism product.

The honorary distinction was awarded, on behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou, by the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipal District, Mr. Antonis Christou, who expressed the Municipality's warm thanks for the couple's numerous visits and for the unwavering trust and preference they have shown for decades towards Ayia Napa.

He also emphasized that the repeated choice of Ayia Napa by visitors such as Michael Arthur and Susan Lynne Long is the best confirmation of the quality of the tourist experience offered by the destination, while it substantially contributes to the promotion of the region abroad through their personal testimony and positive experiences.

"From today you officially belong to the big family of Ayia Napa," he said, adding that the Municipality particularly appreciates all those visitors who, with their constant presence, develop a strong bond with the place and act as the best ambassadors of Cypriot tourism.

For their part, Michael Arthur and Susan Lynne Long warmly thanked the Municipality for the special honor, expressing their joy and emotion for this recognition. As they stated, Ayia Napa has now become their second home, as each of their visits is accompanied by beautiful memories, warm hospitality and people who make them feel like members of the local community.

At a special ceremony held today, Friday, 3 July 2026, at the Agia Napa Town Hall, the Municipality honored British visitors Michael Arthur and Susan Lynne Long, who have chosen Agia Napa as their holiday destination 40 times, in recognition of their longstanding affection and loyalty to the resort.

During the ceremony, the Municipality presented the couple with a commemorative plaque and the "Tourism Ambassador" emblem, officially appointing them as "Tourism Ambassadors of Agia Napa". This is one of the Municipality's highest honorary distinctions, awarded to visitors whose long-term loyalty and repeated visits make a significant contribution to promoting and strengthening the area's tourism product.

The honorary distinction was presented on behalf of the Mayor Mr Christos Zannettou by the Vice Mayor of the Agia Napa Municipal Quarter, Mr Antonis Christou, who expressed the Municipality's heartfelt appreciation for the couple's numerous visits and for the trust and preference they have shown towards Agia Napa over the decades.
