Their practical love and timeless preference for Ayia Napa is demonstrated by British travelers Michael Donkin and Alison Margaret Brown, who have made 36 consecutive visits to the city.
As a sign of appreciation for their constant presence and support for Ayia Napa, the Municipality declared them Tourism Ambassadors of the city.
In a modest ceremony held today, Tuesday, September 2, 2026, at the Ayia Napa Municipal Hall, the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipal District, Mr. Antonis Christou, on behalf of the Mayor, Mr. Christos Zannetou, presented them with a commemorative plaque, as well as the emblem of "Tourism Ambassador".
Mr. Christou expressed his warm thanks to the couple for their numerous visits and the practical love they have shown towards Ayia Napa over the years. At the same time, he emphasized that their long-standing relationship with the city has gone beyond the limits of a simple tourist visit, as they are now dear and special friends of Ayia Napa.
