Following the successful outcome of the Winter Traditional Activities Program, the Municipality of Ayia Napa, in its commitment to promoting and highlighting its Cultural Folk Heritage and preserving Cypriot tradition, announces the start of the Summer Traditional Activities Program 2025, which will last from Thursday, July 3rd to Thursday, September 18th, 2025.
The program includes workshops, tastings, musical evenings and cultural activities, which aim to introduce visitors, as well as locals, to authentic Cypriot tradition through hands-on experiences.
The program will begin on Thursday, July 3, at the Agrotospito, at 19:30 PM, with a traditional music workshop and preparation of traditional sweet carrot, while every Thursday thematic events will be held regarding:
– Traditional dishes such as halloumi, koupes, loukoumades, cooked dishes with potatoes and more, spoon sweets such as carrot
– Tasting with Cypriot drinks such as wine, zivania, accompanied by traditional cold cuts and local nuts,
– Folk art workshops such as woodcarving, pottery, making musical instruments (pithkiauli)
– Traditional musical performances.
All activities will be held every Thursday at 19:30 in the courtyard of the Agrotospito. The Municipality invites the public to actively participate in the events and enjoy the journey into Cypriot tradition, gastronomy and folk creation, through a summer cycle of experiential cultural experiences.
