The Municipality of Ayia Napa, in collaboration with Ayia Napa Marina, welcomed approximately 40 Ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions from Egypt, Poland, Spain, Brazil, Ireland, Ukraine, Cuba, Serbia, Romania, Lebanon, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Australia, to Ayia Napa Marina, following the decisive initiative of the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Konstantinos Fitiris, who was the driving force behind the organization of this important diplomatic visit.

The event was held within the framework of a special presentation to promote the Famagusta District, the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the Ayia Napa Marina, highlighting their strategic role in the sectors of tourism, investment, international cooperation and sustainable development.

The visit was an important opportunity to present the new, expanded Municipality of Ayia Napa as a dynamic, extroverted and strategically located destination, which combines quality tourism, modern infrastructure, cultural identity, investment prospects and sustainable development.

The program opened with a welcome from the Financial Director of Ayia Napa Marina, Mr. Amr El Adawy, who welcomed the Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives, highlighting the importance of the Marina as one of the most important landmark projects for Ayia Napa and Cyprus.
Subsequently, a greeting was delivered by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, who referred to the strategic vision of the Municipality and the importance of strengthening international relations through tourism, investment, culture and cooperation.

In his greeting, the Mayor noted that Ayia Napa is not only an internationally recognized seaside destination, but also the center of a new, expanded Municipality, following the Local Government reform, which unites Ayia Napa, Sotira, Liopetri, Avgorou and Achna.

He also emphasized that the Municipality's goal is to promote a balanced development model, based on quality tourism, environmental responsibility, cultural heritage, modern services and a high standard of living for residents and visitors.

Referring to the Ayia Napa Marina, the Mayor described it as a landmark project and a strategic reference point for the wider region, noting that it enhances the international image of Ayia Napa and upgrades the role of the Municipality as a modern Mediterranean destination, with significant prospects in the sectors of tourism, maritime activity, entrepreneurship and investment.

The Mayor also expressed his warm thanks to Mr. Konstantinos Fytiris for his initiative and decisive contribution to the organization of the visit, pointing out that such actions enhance the international visibility of Ayia Napa and create substantial opportunities for dialogue, cooperation and future partnerships.

The event continued with reports from the Marina's Financial Director, Mr. Amr El Adawy, who presented the vision, strategic importance and development prospects of the Marina, as well as its contribution to upgrading the tourism and investment profile of the region.
Afterwards, the Marina Director, Mr. Pavlos Charalambous, presented the operational structure, facilities and services of Ayia Napa Marina. Particular emphasis was placed on the modern management model, the high operational standards and the Marina's contribution to upgrading the overall visitor experience.

This was followed by a special presentation of the Marina's Central Management Platform, through which the digital tools and integrated systems utilized for the effective management, coordination and operation of the Marina were presented.

The visit concluded with networking and an exchange of views between the diplomatic representatives, the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the management team of Ayia Napa Marina.

The Municipality of Ayia Napa expresses its warm thanks to all the Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives for their presence, to Mr. Konstantinos Fytiris for his substantial initiative, as well as to the Ayia Napa Marina for hosting the event and for its continuous contribution to the promotion and development of the area.

The visit was followed by an official lunch at the NissiBlu Beach Resort, during which commemorative gifts were offered to the diplomatic representatives by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, and the Honorable Minister, Mr. Konstantinos Fytiris, as a token of appreciation for their presence and support.

The program was further enriched with an interactive traditional dance presentation by the Dance Team of the Cyprus Section of the International Police Association, through which the Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives had the opportunity to get to know and experience the vibrant pulse of Cypriot culture and tradition.

Through initiatives of this nature, Cyprus and the Municipality of Ayia Napa continue to strengthen their international profile, promote strategic partnerships and highlight the unique advantages of the region as a destination for tourism, culture, investment and sustainable development.
