The Police made 29 complaints within a period of 4 hours today, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in the area of Xylofagos and Xylotympos.
Members of the Xylofagos police station and the Xylotympos police station in collaboration with members of the Famagusta traffic police in the framework of the implementation of the modern method of road policing, which aims, among other things, to prevent serious traffic collisions and violations took place today, Wednesday 4 May. 0930-1330 in a coordinated campaign in the police stations of Xylofagos and Xylotympos police stations.
During the campaign they were made in total 29 complaints, of which 21 concerned speeding, 1 use of mobile phone while driving, 1 passenger in a non-stationary vehicle, 2 drivers with a student license without a qualified driver, 3 apprentice drivers without license plates and 1 driving with an expired license driver and without seat belt.
The targeted inspections of the Famagusta Police Directorate will continue in other areas throughout the twenty-four hour period, with the sole aim of consolidating the correct road conscience by all road network users and preventing fatal and serious traffic accidents.
