Handcuffs to 4 smugglers for the arrival of immigrants in Cabo Greco

Four people were arrested by the Police, as part of the investigation into the arrival of 14 illegal immigrants early today, who were spotted boarding a boat 6 nautical miles off Cape Greco.

Specifically, during the verification of the data of the above foreigners, who, accompanied by the Coastal and Maritime Police, sailed to the fishing shelter of Paralimni, testimony emerged against four persons who are alleged to be the smugglers and drivers of the particular boat.

The above four persons aged 23, 20, 24 and 23 were arrested on the basis of court warrants for the offenses of assisting a third country person to enter the Republic of Cyprus illegally, assistance for the purpose of obtaining profit as well as other related offenses and were taken into custody, while the remaining eight persons were taken to the Pournara Hospitality Center.
