The second cycling tour of the Famagusta Cycling Association was a great success this year as well, with the participation of more than 130 Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot athletes. The aim of the event was to highlight the importance of friendship and bi-communal relations.
Specifically, on the bi-communal route, about 80 Greek Cypriots from all the provinces of Cyprus and in addition to the 50 Turkish Cypriots took part, who traveled 108 kilometers from Deryneia to the occupied Kantara.
In a statement, the Famagusta Cycling Association thanked all the athletes who took part, all those who helped the organization, the members of Green Pedal Cycling for the excellent cooperation, the police accompanied all the way, the sponsors and the Municipality of Deryneia for the noble His sponsorship for the event and especially the friend of the Association and Mayor Andros Karagiannis participated with his bicycle to Famagusta.
At the same time, the Association expresses its dissatisfaction with the Media which did not cover the event, although they had been informed.
