ARTrat Collective presents the musical performance "The Struggle of the Elements", a composition by composer Yannis Laoutaris, inspired by the prose poem of the same name by poet and writer George Papakonstantinou, which is included in the publication "Cypriot Prose Poems".
A stirring of the heavens was enough to reveal a fierce struggle. Those that define the souls of men, took up battle positions. Each one, burning, was victorious.
A work dedicated to love and the intervention of inevitable death. Do we study love or do we experience it? And if we don't study it, how do we experience it? And if we experience it, do we have the ability to revive it? A wild river carries us away and hits us against tree trunks and large rocks, shattering our bones?
Are you taking a deep-water dive that only with deep awareness of breathing – calmness – decompression – facing fear – and always with respect can you achieve without at least ending up fainting?
Otherwise you might drown and lose consciousness; but who knows if you're still feeling?
