The local strawberry product is being promoted by the Municipality of Deryneia, with work in progress until November 25, when the Christmas strawberry illumination will be inaugurated, said the Mayor of Deryneia, Andros Karagiannis.
Speaking on the show "Mesimeri and Something" and to Sigma Correspondent for Famagusta province, Christiana Markou, Mr. Karagiannis noted that the goal of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism is to showcase local products and promote the hinterland with its traditional character, and not only the beaches and the sea.
There will be many events for all visitors and especially for children, who "can't wait for us to light up the decorated strawberry", he concluded.
