The citizens of Deryneia were disturbed by the cut off of the water supply from Thursday 27/4/23 at 5:00 am. .
After many phone calls and messages from citizens, Famagusta.news contacted the Municipality of Deryneia where it was informed of the problem that arose and of the estimated time for its restoration.
In communications we had with the municipal engineer of Deryneia, Andreas Genagritis, he informed us that the water supply was cut off due to the works on Sotiras Deryneia street, specifically on Odos Stadiou. He also stated that the restoration of the water supply will be done gradually due to the low water pressure. The water will gradually return to all parts of the Municipality, while, as Mr. Andreas told us, Eleftherias Street and the area of Zappeios and the Hospital will be the last to be served.
The Municipality of Deryneia informs the Citizens that it is making every possible effort to restore the water supply to all properties.
Due to the increased demand for water, there is a delay in the water supply in the areas located in the southern part of the Municipality and especially in the apartment buildings.
Citizens are invited to limit the use of water in order to enable the supply to all the properties of the Municipality.
