The National Memorial Service for Dimitrakis Christodoulou and his fellow fighters, Stylianos Lena and Sotiris Tsangaris, was held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Church of All Saints of Deryneia.
The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia was represented by the Mayor Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, in the presence of members of parliament, the Deputy Mayor of Deryneia and members of the Municipal Council.
The memorial service was presided over by His Grace Bishop of Karpasia, Mr. Christoforou.
A memorial speech was delivered by Mr. Andreas Karyos, Doctor of History, University of London.
This was followed by the laying of wreaths at the Hero's monument.
As part of the event, the hero's sister delivered a photo of him to the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia for posting at the City Hall.
The memorial service was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nicoletou.
The memorial service was organized by the "Dimitrakis Christodoulou" National Association of Deryneia and the Hero's Family.
