The 15th Pancyprian Deryneia Strawberry Festival, organized by the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, was held with great success on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Deryneia Renaissance Stadium.
The great festival of Deryneia gathered thousands of visitors and emerges every year as the most successful festival promoting agricultural products in Cyprus in terms of organization, attendance and volunteer participation. Hundreds of volunteers worked with dedication and contributed decisively to the smooth running of an institution that honors the local fruit of Deryneia, promotes the productive identity of the region and strengthens its cultural extroversion.
The festival was held under the auspices of the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance, Mr. Marinos Mousiouttas, who delivered a speech. Greetings were also delivered by the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, and the Deputy Mayor of Deryneia, Mr. Nikos Lillis, emphasizing the importance of the festival for Deryneia, for the Municipality and for the promotion of strawberries as a point of reference for local production.
Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed a rich artistic and entertainment program, traditional Cypriot music, children's theater, cooking demonstration, strawberry pastry contest, silent disco, sand show and the big concert with George Tsalikis and Konstantinos Christoforou. The venue also featured kiosks with handmade creations, products and delicacies made from strawberries, as well as a children's corner.
The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia expresses its warm thanks to all the volunteers, contributors, participants, producers, partners and the public who embraced the Pancyprian Deryneia Strawberry Festival this year, contributing to the success of an institution that is a point of pride for Deryneia and the entire Municipality.
