The funeral of the hero Pieris Vereis of Georgios, 22 years old, a reserve soldier of 173MA / TP, until recently missing, will take place on Sunday, August 4, at 4:00 p.m. at the Church of All Saints in Deryneia.
Pieris Verei fell fighting heroically during the Turkish Invasion of 1974 in the area of Mia Milias-Voni, whose bones were found in a mass grave and identified by the DNA method.
The Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Mr. Fotis Fotiou, who will represent the Government, will deliver a funeral speech.
