The contract for the construction and operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Achna was signed on Wednesday 23.9.2020 at the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment in the presence of the Minister, between the President of the Sewerage Council of Kokkinochorion and the Mayor of Deryneia Mr. Andros G. Ka Department of Water Development and Cyfield Engineering and Contracting Public Ltd.
The construction cost of the project amounts to 25m. euros, while the cost for the twenty-year operation and maintenance amounts to € 18.863.418,64 plus VAT. The duration of the contract is 22 months.
Within 2020, a tax of 0,40 ‰ (per thousand) will be imposed, for each euro of the estimated value of the property that is registered or registered in the books of the District Cadastral Office of Famagusta at 2018 prices.
