Educational visits continue with great success at the "Adam Adamantos" Municipal Library in Deryneia.
The Municipal Library continues to be a point of reference for the educational and cultural life of our province. On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the library welcomed with great joy the students of the XNUMXth grades of the XNUMXst Primary School of Deryneia and the XNUMXrd Primary School of Deryneia, in the context of yet another educational visit that was crowned with complete success.
The visit offered students a unique opportunity to explore the magical world of books, discover the functioning of the library, and experience a learning experience that combines knowledge with imagination.
With particular honor, during the visit, the Deputy Mayor of Deryneia, Mr. Nikos G. Lilis, was also present, who extended a warm greeting to the students and teachers. In his greeting, he emphasized the importance of reading and cultivating a love for books from a young age. He also emphasized the importance of books as a tool for shaping characters and developing values.
The visit program included:
• Library tour: Students toured the library, learned about its thematic collections, and learned about the process of organizing and classifying material. Through this experience, they acquired valuable knowledge and skills.
• Presentation of the library's operation and rules: In an interactive and understandable manner, the young visitors were informed about the library's operation, the borrowing procedures and the rules of conduct that ensure a calm and welcoming learning and creative environment.
• Interactive fairy tale presentation: Beloved author Angela Marinou enthusiastically and theatrically presented her fairy tale “Poly Goes to the City,” thrilling the students. The presentation enhanced their creative imagination and was a living example of how a book can become an occasion for expression, play, and thought.
The Municipal Library, with vision and consistency, continues to actively support education and culture. Through actions that promote reading and enhance creative expression, it emerges as a valuable ally of society in general.
