On Monday, August 4, a meeting was held with the producers of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, with the aim of providing detailed information on the operation of the new Deryneia People's Market, a project that is now entering its final phase.
The new Deryneia Farmers' Market is not just another infrastructure, but a comprehensive and modern space, specially designed to serve both producers and consumers. The project includes covered sales points, parking areas with provisions for people with disabilities, buses and trucks, a cafeteria, toilets, a playground, a square and green spaces, creating a friendly and functional environment.
The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, stated that the Deryneia People's Market is a vital project for the Municipality and for the entire Famagusta District, as it promotes local development, supports local producers, creates jobs and strengthens the relationship of the rural population with their place.
He also emphasized that the success of the project is based on the participation of the producers themselves and expressed his certainty that, with cooperation and a sense of responsibility, the Deryneia People's Market will become a point of reference for agricultural production, social cohesion and the local economy.
