The Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia continues its efforts to preserve, highlight and further exploit the rich cultural heritage of the region.
In this context, a visit was made to the Folklore Museum of Deryneia and the Open-Air Museum of Folk Art and Traditional Professions, with the aim of recording maintenance needs, improving the spaces and examining ways to upgrade the overall visitor experience.
The two museums are important cultural heritage sites, as they preserve and present elements of traditional life, art, everyday life and professions of previous generations.
Particular emphasis was placed on the need for systematic maintenance of exhibits and infrastructure, the better presentation of collections, the improvement of the surrounding area, as well as the utilization of modern methods of presentation, so that the spaces become even more attractive and educational for residents, visitors, students and young people.
The Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryne considers the preservation of local history and tradition a key priority and will continue to support actions and projects that enhance the cultural identity of the region.
By maintaining and upgrading these two important cultural sites, the goal is for the tradition and cultural heritage of the place to remain alive and be passed on to future generations.
