The Police arrested a 51-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman yesterday, as part of an investigation into cases involving burglaries and thefts.
A 37-year-old man reported to the Police yesterday that his residence in Protaras was broken into, from which a sum of money and two pairs of AirPods, worth a total of 900 euros, were stolen.

As part of the investigation into the case, arrest warrants were obtained against two individuals aged 51 and 30, who are alleged to be involved in four cases of burglaries and thefts, committed between 14-16/04/2026 in Protaras. The two suspects were located and arrested yesterday afternoon at Paphos airport, upon their departure from Cyprus.
Further examinations conducted revealed that the 51-year-old was involved in ten more cases of nighttime burglaries and thefts, which were committed in the years 2023 and 2025 in Paralimni.
The two arrested are expected to appear today before the Famagusta District Court for the issuance of a detention order.
