Dimitris Koumis takes over as Humanitarian Relief Coordinator of the Democratic Alarm in the Famagusta District.

The Democratic Alarm strengthens the actions of solidarity and humanitarian contribution, which constitute fundamental values of the Party, by assigning to Mr. Dimitris Koumis the role of Humanitarian Contribution Coordinator in the Famagusta District.
At their meeting today, the President of the Democratic Rally, Ms. Annita Dimitriou, welcomed Mr. Koumis, assigning him his new duties, while also pointing out that his many years of humanitarian and charitable work are already widely known and recognized, especially in the Famagusta District.
"First of all, I want to thank you for the struggle you gave in the recent elections and which in turn contributed to the successful outcome for our Party. From there on, I know well that offering and helping others are inextricably linked to your own path in society. You are particularly honored by the fact that you wish to take on this role. As you well know, this is what the Democratic Alarm is. A Party that stands by people, especially those in real need," said Ms. Dimitriou.
The DISY President also emphasized that the goal is to further strengthen and coordinate the party's social and humanitarian actions, with an emphasis on supporting vulnerable groups, practical solidarity and cultivating a culture of giving in every corner of Cyprus.
"You undertake to coordinate our actions in the Famagusta District. Service is a way of life for you and a source of personal satisfaction," he added.
